November Town Hall - Cadet Gospel Choir Mini-Reunion

Save the Date!

DON'T MISS the next dmT town hall, "Cadet Gospel Choir Mini-Reunion," on November 5th at 6:00 PM ET!

The West Point Gospel Choir originated as as satellite group of the Cadet Chapel Choir in 1974 with four dedicated members. After more than thirty years of service and performances, the choir has lived up to its newest motto "Praise First, Sing Second!"

Throughout the years, the Cadet Gospel Choir has performed for numerous organizations, community churches and congregations, and served as outstanding ambassadors for the academy. Their exceptional efforts bridge academy support, diversity, and religious initiatives for the Corps of Cadets.

For the 118th Army Navy football game, members of both Gospel Choirs and Glee Clubs from USMA and USNA sang together for the National Anthem. Members of the choir participated in mission trips to Haiti and humanitarian relief efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.

Other significant performances include the Apollo Theatre, Coca-Cola Headquarters, Disneyworld, West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) Diversity Leadership Conference, GEN(R) Lloyd Austin's Thayer Hotel room dedication ceremony, the Bob McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character, NAACP Freedom Luncheon, the funeral service of LTG(R) John "Jack" Cushman, and multiple Inspire Dinners for the USMA Directorate of Admissions along with outreach to various high schools across the east coast.

The tireless efforts of choir members and continued success story is a testament of resilience, commitment, and spirit.
